Due to several postponements, the #14 (1A) Aplington-Parkersburg girls soccer team was the school’s only team in action Thursday. They fell 6-0 at home to #1 (1A) Denver. The Cyclones scored five goals in the first half on their way to the blowout win. The Falcons (4-3, 2-3 NICL) will host Union Friday at 5:00 p.m.
The #8 (2A) AP/DNH soccer team (5-1) will have one of its toughest tests when it travels to #7 (2A) Webster City (5-0) for non-conference action. Both teams have compiled blowout wins in their last several games. The Lynx won last year’s meeting 4-2. It’ll start at 5:30.
The #10 (1A) girls tennis team will be back in action when it travels to Grundy Center. It’ll start at 4:15 at George Wilhelm Sports Complex.
