Tuesday the AGWSR School Board will hold a special meeting and will consider the resignation of Superintendent Erik Smith.
In his resignation letter to the board, Smith writes that he recently accepted the position of Shared Superintendent at the New Hampton and Turkey Valley School Districts, with his resignation becoming effective as of June 30th.
The AGWSR board will immediately begin the search process for the next superintendent.
Smith has been AGWSR Superintendent for the past 7 years.
The AGWSR School Board special meeting is Tuesday beginning at 7pm at the district office board room in Ackley.
