4th person wanted in grave marker theft case arrested Thursday

The 4th person wanted for his alleged involvement in the disappearance of grave markers and historical site markers was arrested Thursday in Cerro Gordo County by the Iowa State Patrol

41-year-old Joshua D. Sellers of Manly was wanted on two Franklin County warrants for the charges of 1st degree theft, and for 1st degree criminal mischief, both class “C” felonies.

The others arrested in this case are Brandon Smith of Hampton, Lauren Johnson of Dumont, and Rachel Card of Hampton, who have all entered not guilty pleas to the charges filed against them.

At least 15 cemeteries and historical marker sites were hit in the local area.
