One of the coldest temperatures reported in Iowa today was 24 degrees at Mapleton while it dropped to 27 degrees at Sioux City and Elkader and to 28 degrees at numerous locations including in Atlantic and Sheldon.
30 was the low in Clarion and Mason City, 32 in Hampton, and 33 in Iowa Falls.
