Thursday night the Hampton City Council approved the city’s next fiscal year budget.
The Hampton council approved the plans, specifications, and estimated construction cost for the construction of the rehabilitate runway, taxiway, and apron improvements project at the municipal airport.
The council then approved the bid submitted by Wick’s Construction, Incorporated of Decorah for the airport work for a total cost of $447,675, which was 24 percent below the engineer’s opinion of probable cost.
