Butler County Engineer John Riherd tells Radio on the Go News that their asphalt resurfacing project will be kicking off in earnest this week.
A one mile stretch of Newell Avenue north of Highway 3 and 9 miles of county road C-13 from Packard Avenue east to Bremer County will be under construction. Multiple contractors will be on site over the next 8 weeks or so.
Milling and cold in-place recycling begins this week, and will last about 10 days. Drying time for recycled pavement will last about 2 weeks.
Asphalt paving is scheduled for mid-June, lasting 2-3 weeks.
