Class 1A and 2A baseball postseason brackets were released Thursday by the IHSAA. The postseason will begin Saturday, July 6. Teams receiving first round byes will begin on Tuesday, July 9. View the statewide brackets here.
In 1A District 5, #2-seed West Fork will host a first round doubleheader, where they’ll take on GMG and #6-seed AGWSR will play Colo-Nesco. In 1A District 6, #8-seed Belmond-Klemme will play at top-seeded Bishop Garrigan.
North Butler is the #6-seed in 1A District 7, and will play at Lake Mills in the first round. In 1A District 8, #8-seed Clarksville will play in the first round at top-seeded South Winneshiek.
In 2A District 3, #3-seed Grundy Center will host a first round game against Union. The winner will play #2-seed Aplington-Parkersburg in a neutral-site game in State Center. In 2A District 4, #3-seed South Hardin will host a doubleheader, where they’ll play #6-seed Iowa Falls-Alden. That winner will advance to a neutral-site game in Story City against #2-seed Dike-New Hartford. The other game in Eldora will be #5-seed Clarion-Goldfield-Dows against Eagle Grove.
