A Flood Watch is in effect until 1pm Saturday for Hancock, Cerro Gordo, and Floyd Counties in the broadcast area.
Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Severe thunderstorms are possible for both today and tomorrow for the entire broadcast area. The threats will include damaging winds, hail, and a few tornadoes.
