Clarksville survives and advances to softball regional final

The #13 (1A) Clarksville softball team trailed early, but defeated BCLUW 5-4 in a 1A regional semifinal at home Friday.

The teams were tied 1-1 after the first inning, but the Comets scored twice in the second for a 3-1 lead. In the fourth, Hannah Wangsness hit a two-run homer, with two more runs scored in the inning for a 5-3 lead, and they held the Comets to just one more.

The Indians were limited to four hits, but Sydney Lovrien recorded seven strikeouts.

Clarksville (21-9) has advanced to Monday’s regional final at #7 (1A) Southeast Warren, a game that’ll air on 99 The Wave.
