“I just want everybody to come out and enjoy the event if you haven’t been to a Relay for Life event. This is a good time to come and check it out. We’ve got all kinds of things planned throughout the evening and with it being inside we don’t have to worry about anything with heat or rain. So come and join us.”
A free-will donation pulled-pork sandwich supper will be served starting at 5:00 p.m. with the opening ceremony at 6:00. The luminaria ceremony will begin at 7:45.
This year’s fundraising goal is $75,015.04. The 15 dollars represent Bogue’s 15 years as the chair of the Franklin County Relay for Life and the four cents represents when Relay for Life in Franklin County restarted in 2004.
