Seabee Foundry, LLC, doing business as Hampton Foundry, LLC, today announced plans to close its Highway 3 west location in Hampton.
Due to market conditions in the foundry casting industry, company officials say they are making the difficult decision to cease operations at their steel foundry.
The Hampton Foundry has been in business for 44 years and has 17 employees.
All impacted employees are either being offered positions at their other Hampton manufacturing facility or are encouraged to apply for open positions at that location.
This closure will not impact their hydraulic cylinder manufacturing plant operations, located at 712 1st Street Northwest in Hampton.
