The Hampton-Dumont-CAL football team will enter the 2024 season with hopes to return to the playoffs after missing out in 2023.
They’ll open the season by hosting the “Battle for Bradford” with Iowa Falls-Alden. The Bulldogs have won the last three meetings, and it’ll be the first time the game will be played in Hampton since 2021. A second straight home game will follow in Week 2 against Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, who the Bulldogs shut out 34-0 last year.
The first of back-to-back away games will be played in Week 3 when the Bulldogs visit West Marshall. Hampton-Dumont-CAL won last year’s meeting 43-0. Non-district play will conclude in Week 4 with a visit to Nevada.
District play will begin in Week 5 with a home game against Humboldt. The Wildcats have won the last five meetings. The Bulldogs will visit Webster City in Week 6, where they’ll go for their first win in the series since 2005.
Clear Lake will visit in Week 7, followed by a trip to Charles City in Week 8. The Bulldogs recorded their third shutout win of 2023 by beating Charles City 46-0.
The regular season will conclude with a home game against Algona in Week 9, which defeated Hampton-Dumont-CAL 21-7 last year.
