A 56-year-old Mason City man was sentenced yesterday to more than 18 years in federal prison after a March guilty plea to 1 count of conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of actual pure methamphetamine, and 2 counts of possession with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of actual pure meth.

Evidence in the case revealed that Andrew Snyder during the summer of 2023 conspired to distribute pound-quantities of methamphetamine in the Mason City area.

Snyder has 3 previous convictions for trafficking meth and possessing the drug with the intent to distribute.

There is no parole in the federal system.
