Bulldog Head Coach Sarah Miller on the role of team communication.
“Being able to control what we can control and then compete to win,” says Miller. “We have the decision on what that looks like in our win and loss column, that was really our goal for tonight. Started off a little bit slow, getting those jitters out, I think. We just weren’t having as much communication. But this team, we’ve learned that when we communicate, we are so strong. Such wonderful girls on and off the court. Really special to get this first win to start our season.”
Aubryee Showalter led with 15 kills and Charlee Morton added eight kills for the Bulldogs. HD-CAL at 1-0 will host St.Edmond to open North Central Conference play on Thursday.
West Fork 0-1 will take part in a tournament at Garner-Hayfield-Ventura on Saturday.
