Thursday the Eldora City Council held a special meeting and voted to move ahead on the plans to issue up to 600-thousand dollars in General Obligation Corporate Purpose bonds.
The funds would be used to purchase a new ambulance, a new dump truck, and equipment for the police department including tasers.
The Eldora City Council also set October 8th at 6pm as the date and time to hold a public hearing on amending the city ordinance concerning animal protection and control.
