Here’s an update to a story we told you about on Tuesday concerning an alleged vague threat that was made Monday at Hampton-Dumont High School.
Hampton-Dumont Superintendent Aaron Becker says for clarification, district officials were made aware of an alleged threat at the very end of the school day on Monday. At the time of discovery, the student in question was already removed from campus and has not been allowed back in the facility until investigations by law enforcement and district officials are completed.
At no time were any weapons found on school property.
Becker says this is an on-going police investigation, while the school district is also conducting its own investigation and is fully cooperating with local law enforcement. He adds any subsequent actions taken by the school district will be based upon a review with law enforcement of the facts and credibility surrounding the matter.
