The Dike-New Hartford football team forced timely turnovers and rolled offensively to a 34-0 win at MFL-Mar Mac on Friday, as aired on 99 The Wave. Joshua Hamlyn reports.
Head Coach Don Betts on how this win impacts a goal the team is striving for and momentum.
“They’ve had a goal all year long, they want to be district champions. They put themselves in a great place with that win last night over MFL to do that,” says Betts. “Now it’s just a matter of us continuing to focus on getting better. That’s been what we’ve talked about all year long, how can we get better? Every time we’re out here, what can we do to get better? Our kids have really bought into that and done a great job with that. Building momentum at the end of the season is a really important thing, this is one of those ones that can help do that.”
Dike-New Hartford (5-1, 3-0 1A-3) will host Aplington-Parkersburg on Friday night.
