The North Butler (TIC), BK-CGD (TIC) and Clarksville (Iowa Star) cross country teams will get one more opportunity to tune-up on the course as they take part in Forest City Invite on Monday, ahead of respective Top of Iowa Conference and Iowa Star Conference meets on Thursday.
North Butler’s last meet was at Lake Mills on October 7th. The Bearcat boys placed second in the team race at the meet behind Lake Mills. Two Bearcat runners earned top 6 times at the meet including Ezra Almelien in 16:47.8 (3rd) and Trager Pecha in 17:47 (6th). Cora Barnett led the girls team with a 23:38 (13th).
BK-CGD’s last meet was at Eagle Grove on October 8th. The girls were led by top 25 times for Lila Swenson in 24:04 (23rd) and Avery Boeshart in 24:18.7 (25th). The boys front runner was Christopher Greenfield in 19:01 (24th).
Clarksville’s last meet was the Wolverine Invite at Dike on October 8th. Eve Jordan placed 59th with a new PR time of 22:39.
Other teams at the meet include #1(1A) Lake Mills boys, #3(2A) Forest City girls, #4(2A) Forest City boys, #9(2A)Garner-Hayfield-Ventura boys, and the #13(2A) Osage girls.
The varsity girls race is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. followed by the varsity boys at 5:30 p.m. at Bear Creek Golf Course in Forest City.
