The Iowa Falls School Board this week reviewed the district’s preliminary enrollment certification.

Iowa Falls Superintendent Tony Neumann tells RadioOnTheGo News that the actual enrollment used by the state to drive funding decreased by just over 37 students.

This is mostly due to a large senior class graduating last year and not backfilling it with a large group.

Neumann says when looking at grade level to grade level, the district is actually up 14 students in the numbers who should be returning, but a much smaller kindergarten class, along with Alden sending their smallest class over for 7th grade, account for the big decline in enrollment.
