The #4 (2A) Dike-New Hartford volleyball team will look to continue its rich tradition of postseason excellence when it hosts Grand View Christian in a 2A Region 4 quarterfinal Wednesday to begin postseason play.

The Wolverines (26-15) will put a season of development to the test. They’ve responded to an unfavorable finish in the NICL Tournament by winning six straight matches to close the regular season. The streak included a 2-1 win over #13 (2A) Wapsie Valley, avenging a conference tournament loss. Izzy Norton (2.8 kills per set) and Shannon Moorman (2.5 kills per set) have emerged as key offensive contributors.

Grand View Christian (9-20) advanced with a 3-2 road win over Woodward-Granger in Monday’s first round, where they came back from down 2-1 and battled to two-point wins in sets 4 and 5. Addie Hackett leads with 2.4 kills per set, but the team has served at just 89 percent.

It’s a rematch of a 2022 regional final, won 3-0 by the Wolverines. The first serve will be at 7:00 p.m., and the winner will advance to Monday’s regional semifinal against either Hudson or Colfax-Mingo.
