Thursday the Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors will consider authorizing the county auditor’s office to conduct a recount of the District 3 seat on the board.
Incumbent Lori Meacham Ginapp received 3,107 votes on Tuesday, while her challenger, Carl Ginapp received 3,105 votes.
There were also 13 write-in votes.
District 3 covers the northeast portion of the county including parts of Mason City.
The Cerro Gordo County Board of Supervisors meet Thursday at 10am at the courthouse in Mason City.
Here’s an update to the story, after sending out the initial agenda for Thursday’s meeting, the board sent out an amended agenda, and the vote recount item has been dropped from Thursday’s meeting.
Unclear if and when the board will consider having an actual recount.
