Naturalist Aubrey Brown with Franklin County Conservation and Wright County Conservation wants to inform residents of upcoming events.
“In Franklin County, we have our second owls meeting December 10 at Maynes Grove Lodge from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and we will be making Christmas wreaths,” Brown says. “In Wright County, we will be observing Wildlife Conservation Day with an educational program about wildlife conservation in Iowa and have some fun activities for the whole family. This will take place December 4 at Lake Cornelia Campground at the enclosed shelter from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.”
OWLS, or “Older. Wiser. Livelier. Souls” is a monthly program to engage older audiences in the environment.
