Andy Lebo has stepped down as the head coach of the Grundy Center softball program.
Lebo led the team for four seasons, having begun his tenure in 2021. Among his accomplishments, he guided the team to its deepest postseason run in program history with a regional final appearance in 2022. Perhaps the most improbable win during Lebo’s tenure was in the 2024 regional quarterfinals, when the Spartans knocked off #2 (2A) Alburnett, which was one of the most stunning upsets of the season.
The item was approved at Monday’s Grundy Center School Board meeting.
