Local girls wrestling teams competed at Tuesday’s Riverhawk Invitational at Mason City. North Butler/Clarksville placed seventh with 62 points, and Iowa Falls-Alden placed ninth with 54 points.
Iowa Falls-Alden’s Rylee Robison earned bronze by placing third at 235. In her final match, she won by injury default over Randi Duehr of Algona.
In the same weight class, North Butler/Clarksville’s Sydney Lovrien placed second, losing by fall to Kinley Stambaugh of Northwood-Kensett in the final match.
North Butler/Clarksville teammates Alexa Gott and Maliyah Liddle placed third and second at 190. Gott earned a 2:36 pin of Jayla McAllen of North Fayette Valley in the third place match. Liddle lost in a 5:23 fall to Zoe Koontz of Clear Lake in the championship match.
