The second phase of the capital campaign for the North Iowa Events Center is now underway in Mason City.
Officials with the events center say construction on the new 15,120 square foot warm-up arena and stable barn is progressing. The total cost for this addition is 1-point-5-million dollars, and 1-point-125-million dollars has been raised.
This second phase includes sand and lime base for the new warm-up arena, stalls for the stable, speakers and sound system, fans, heaters and insulation, and more.
The officials add that these upgrades will enhance the venue’s ability to host events year-round, generating revenue not only during the North Iowa Fair, but throughout the entire year.
