Wednesday’s windy weather caused significant damage to the Christmas light display at Band Shell Park in Hampton.
In a press release sent Thursday afternoon, Franklin REC Communications Specialist Madison Alert said staff has worked diligently to relight and repair the affected areas. Some changes to the park’s layout and decorations were necessary due to the extent of the damage.
Franklin REC is asking for the community’s assistance in locating any pieces of decorations that may have been displaced. If you find any items from the park, you are asked to call their office at 641-456-2557 and they will arrange for cleanup and recovery.
