The Ackley City Council recently received an update on the fiscal year 2026 budgeting process from the city clerk’s office, who requested guidance regarding beautification projects, storm sewer projects, tree reserves, and ambulance supplies.
The Ackley council set January 8th at 6pm as the date and time to hold a public hearing to amend the city’s current fiscal year budget.
The Ackley City Council was also informed that the outside lights to city hall had been checked and the underground wires are shorting out. Some options will be reviewed for those lights without having to tear up the new concrete.
