Today the Franklin County Board of Supervisors met with Marshall County I-T Director James Nuehring who presented the board with a Compensation Board Report.

Nuehring was requested by Franklin, Marshall, and a couple of other counties to compare salaries of the elected officials in counties that are similar to Franklin.

He looked at peer groups, like the contiguous counties, those that are similar in population, land valuation, and revenues, and that have countywide levies.

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors took the 25 page report under advisement as they must decide the salaries of the county’s elected officials for fiscal year 2026.

In other business, the Franklin supervisors approved the holiday closing schedule for 2025, approved the Construction Evaluation Resolution concerning confinement feeding operations, and approved appointments for each supervisor for boards and committee work in the new year.
