The AP/GC boys wrestling team was dominant in sweeping Thursday’s NICL triangular at Oelwein. The Falcons defeated BCLUW-SH 60-21 and Oelwein 76-6.
Against the Storm, the Falcons won four falls and got 36 free points due to open weight classes. The pins were by Johnny Moen at 106, Emerick Nolte at 138, Parker Mulder at 157 and Jesse Brouwer at 285.
Against the Huskies, AP/GC had three pins, a major decision, and got 54 free points due to Oelwein open weight classes. The pins were by Creyton Eberhart at 165 in overtime, Maison Copp at 190 and Brouwer at 285. Kellen Reints won a 20-8 major decision at 150.
AP/GC will return to action at Saturday’s Doc Carr Duals at New Hampton.
