This weekend, law enforcement across Iowa will be reminding football enthusiasts, “Fans Don’t Let Fans Drive Drunk.”

Looking at data from the past five years, 37 percent of Iowa’s traffic fatalities involve impairment.  Nationally, 37 people die in drunk driving crashes each day.

If you are going to a Super Bowl party and you plan to drink alcohol, plan a designated driver.

The Governor’s Traffic Safety Bureau works with city, county, state, and local organizations to develop and implement strategies to reduce death and injury on Iowa roads using federally funded grants.
