Iowa Legal Aid visiting the West Fork Food Pantry

Iowa Legal Aid will be visiting the West Fork Food Pantry from 2-5 pm.  Iowa Legal Aid is a statewide nonprofit organization that provides free civil legal assistance to eligible people in Iowa. Iowa Legal Aid helps with helping tenants avoid unlawful evictions and possible homelessness, helping consumers avoid unlawful garnishments so they can pay their house, rental, car, and utility bills, helping survivors of domestic violence and their families obtain safety, stability, and self-sufficiency, and helping individuals receive their entitled benefits so they can meet their basic needs now and in the future. Anyone can stop in and ask questions or get more information on August 29, 2-5 pm @ 106 Gilman In Sheffield.  We also have several special projects targeted at assisting particular individuals, including our Legal Hotline for Older Iowans, Derecho 2021 Project, Rural Justice Project for Older Iowans, Eviction Help Desks, Community Schools Projects, and more.
